UFV Cascades Volleyball sweep COTR Avalanche at EAC tonight in PACWEST action.

Abbotsford, BC….The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades volleyball teams swept the COTR Avalanche in PACWEST action tonight at the Envision Athletic Centre.  The women’s team improve to 11-0 with a 3-0 victory.  The set scores were 25-15, 25-19 and 25-16.    

“Tonight was a complete team performance. Carly (Barker)  had a particularly strong game getting five aces with her new spin serve. It was a great opportunity to get everyone in the game and contribute,” said UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr.

The men’s team improve their PACWEST regular season record to 5-6, with a 3-1 victory over the COTR Avalanche.  UFV is currently in a three-way tie for third place with CBC and Douglas.  The set scores were 25-22, 18-25, 25-21 and  25-20.   

The Cascades host the Avalanche tomorrow night at 6pm (women) and 8pm (men).
