Grewal, Riaz win high school three-point shooting titles

The second annual UFV Cascades High School Three-Point Shooting Contest was held on Saturday, Nov. 26, and Shelvin Grewal and Ali Riaz emerged as the champions.

Grewal, a Grade 11 student at Surrey’s Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary, posted a score of nine points to edge Hannah Krepp of Langley Christian and Madison Draayers of Yale Secondary in the girls final.

Riaz, in Grade 11 at Abbotsford Senior Secondary, racked up 20 points in the boys final to out-distance Ray Chuang of Semiahmoo Secondary and Kris Malatinka of W.J. Mouat Secondary.
