Campus Recreation

Winter 2017

Providing recreational and wellness opportunities for UFV students and staff. Our mission is support and inspire positive healthy lives by providing opportunities for individuals to remain active, stay physically fit and practice personal wellness. Times are based on student class schedule and both availability of space on campus and instructors or volunteers availability. While classes are open to faculty and staff, students are the primary focus of the program.


Day Camps

Join the UFV Cascades and UFV Kinesiology students for a physical literacy camp over Spring Break, March 13-17, 2017 which will have your child learning through PLAY! Click here to find out more information.

Mindfulness Workshop

Please click here for information on the 9 week Mindfulness workshop and how to reserve your spot. Space is limited so sign-up is mandatory and confirmed only by email confirmation to your UFV email account.

Organized Drop-in Sports

Organized drop-in sports are free to anyone with a UFV campus card. Volunteer staff is on hand during designated sport times to help organize teams and to sign participants in as waiver must be signed on your initial visit. The goal of Organized Drop-in Sports is to provide an opportunity for participants to enjoy spots in a fun, equitable and safe playing environment, while meeting new people. We are currently looking for volunteer Drop-in Sport Supervisors for Fall 2016 if you are interested please email


Tournaments provide an opportunity for engagement in a fun and enjoyable environment.  Tournaments are open to both team and individual registration. Click here to see what events are happening this semester!

Fitness Classes

Open Gym

Not interested in organized sports? We offer a variety of Open Gym times where those with a Student Activity Centre memberships can play basketball, badminton, indoor soccer, and other recreational sports. Most equipment is provided and is organized on a first come first server basis. Certain rules will apply depending on sport.

If you are a student with a fun and professional attitude who is unafraid to take initiative, then you are the person we are looking for!
